PAS Seeks Volunteers for PASIC and Grand Opening Celebration The Percussive Arts Society is currently seeking volunteers to assist with a number of upcoming events in Indianapolis. Volunteers are needed for the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) and the Grand Opening of Rhythm! Discovery Center from November 11-14. Deadline to sign up is November 1. PAS Participates in Percussion Party Downtown Indianapolis The Percussive Arts Society will particiate in a Regions Bank campaign on Thursday, October 22 on Monument Circle in downtown Indianapolis. PAS is collaborating with Regions Bank, Second Helpings and the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra to facilitate a community drum circle from 12:00pm - 1:00pm to help promote the event. PAS Board of Directors Election Ballot Information The Percussive Arts Society Board of Directors Election is currently open for voting. All active PAS members as of October 1 were invited to participate in an online voting system through an email invitiation. The online voting system is new this year and can only be accessed through the email invitation that was sent on October 1. PAS members that received the hard copy of October's Percussion News have access to a paper ballot that can be mailed or faxed to vote. If you are an active PAS member and did not receive October's issue of Percussion News or did not receive an email invitation to vote, please call the office at 317.974.4488 and an electronic ballot will be sent to you. Committee Chair Vacancies Several committee chair positions are currently in transition, and for those interested in serving in a leadership role with the Society, we encourage you to apply for these important positions. PAS committee chairs serve three-year terms, and although a committee chair may serve a maximum of three terms, PAS accepts applications for consideration at the end of each term.
