Originally from Rio de Janeiro – Brazil, Christiano Galvão is one of the most in-demand drummers in Rio. For more than twenty-five years, he has been building a respected and solid career in the music business as a drummer, author and clinician. His credits includes records and tours with major Brazilian artists such as Simone, Marina Lima, Jorge Vercillo, Zélia Duncan, Jorge Ben Jor, Lenine, Isabella Taviani and Celso Blues Boy. Christiano has one solo album released called 1+1 made in partnership with bassist Alexandre Cavallo.

Christiano Galvão is the author of the instructional book Creative Brazilian Drumming published by Hal Leonard in 2011. Besides his work as a touring and recording drummer, Christiano Galvão is a busy educator and clinician. He has a master degree in music education and has performed clinics and master classes through out Brazil and abroad like Berklee College of Music (2015) and University of Michigan (2014) where he worked for a year as a visiting artist.
