Shane Shanahan

Shane Shanahan and Todd Roach met while working on events for the North American Frame Drum Association. This setting provided them with the opportunity to begin exchanging ideas around teaching and composing. After appearing together in many NAFDA festivals, they began working on their own program of compositions featuring frame drums and world percussion.

Grammy-nominated percussionist Shane Shanahan has been touring since 2000 as an original member of Yo-Yo Ma’s Silk Road Ensemble. Shane has also performed with Philip Glass, Glen Velez, James Taylor, Alison Krause, and Aretha Franklin. In addition, he has been an Artist in Residence at The Hartt School, Harvard and Princeton.

Todd Roach

Todd Roach has performed with a diverse group of artists that include the Paul Winter Consort, violinist Georges Lammam, vocalist K.S. Resmi, cellist Eugene Friesen and percussionist N. Scott Robinson. He has also performed multiple times at the international frame drum festival Tamburi Mundi.n.
