About Alexandros Fragiskatos

Dr. Alexandros Fragiskatos (he/him) is a percussionist, educator, and arranger based in central Missouri. His diverse musical training as a solo, chamber, pit, and orchestral musician has led him to performances across the U.S. and Europe. Alex is particularly interested in amplifying the compositional voices of the traditional percussion canon and seeks commissions that expand representation. As a steelpan player, he has been invited as guest artist and clinician and his steelband arrangements are regularly performed throughout the U.S. and abroad. Alex holds a BM from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music, an MM from the University of Akron, and a DMA in percussion from Arizona State University. He has taught at Phoenix College, Grand Canyon University, and Missouri Valley College. Currently, Alex teaches percussion at Central Methodist University.
