About Andy Narell/Luis Perdomo Group featuring Obed Calvaire, Samuel Torres, and Yunior Terry
Andy Narell recorded his first album as a leader in 1979 and has never looked back. He’s spent the past 40+ years exploring the possibilities of the steel pan in contemporary music, and is equally known as a jazz musician, steel band composer, and guest artist with dozens of artists from all over the world. Luis Perdomo is one of the finest pianists in jazz today, and is known for his brilliant compositions on his albums, as well as his work with Ravi Coltrane, David Sanchez, Miguel Zenon, and many others. The Narell/Perdomo group played its first concerts at the Lamentin Jazz Festival in Martinique, and the World Creole Music Festival in Dominica, where music fans were treated to a set of exciting, grooving Afro-Caribbean Jazz. The concert at PASIC will feature Obed Calvaire on drums, Samuel Torres on percussion, and Yunior Terry on bass.
