About Indiana University

Under the co-direction of John Tafoya, Kevin Bobo, and Joseph Gramley, the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Percussion Ensemble is comprised of graduate and undergraduate percussion majors in the Jacobs School of Music. Since its establishment in 1960, the ensemble has explored historically relevant chamber repertoire in addition to contemporary and commissioned works. The ensemble regularly collaborates with distinguished guest artists as well as IU faculty and presents two on-campus performances each semester. The group was previously named a winner of both the 2013 and 2018 International Percussion Ensemble Competitions in addition to the 2011 World Percussion Ensemble Competition.
