I STARTED AT AGE 4. I GREW UP IN A “MUSICAL” HOUSEHOLD. MY DAD PLAYED GUITAR AND MUSIC WAS PLAYED LOUDLY. I STARTED WITH U2, SOFT CELL, QUEEN, DAVID BOWIE, AND ECHO & THE BUNNYMEN, TO BON JOVI, POISON, DEF LEPPARD, AND IRON MAIDEN; AS WELL AS THE JOHN HUGHS’ FILM SOUNDTRACKS. IN HIGH SCHOOL I QUIT FOOTBALL AND JOINED JAZZ AND MARCHING BAND; SPORTS FREAK TO BAND GEEK. AT UNIVERSITY, I RECEIVED MY BACHELOR OF ARTS, IN MUSIC, WHERE I STUDIED EVERY GENRE AND STYLE OF MUSIC I COULD FIT INTO A, 7-YEAR, BACHELOR’S DEGREE; CALYPSO/STEEL DRUMS, BRAZILIAN, CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA, JAZZ, LATIN, ROCK, AND ON AND ON. SINCE GRADUATING (CSU, LONG BEACH, CLASS OF ’99), I’VE BEEN NON-STOP IN PURSUIT OF THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME. SIGNED MY FIRST RECORD DEAL IN 2000. LAST CALL WITH CARSON DALY (NBC) WAS A FUN GIG I DID FOR FIVE YEARS; AS STUDIO HOUSE BAND DRUMMER. I’VE PLAYED WITH VERUCA SALT, KELLY CLARKSON, BIRD3, JOSH KELLEY, JOE FIRSTMAN, AND CURRENTLY WITH RIVAL SONS ON ATLANTIC RECORDS.
