
About Pete Zambito
Pete Zambito is the creator and host of the weekly show “Pete’s Percussion Podcast”. He is the Assistant Teaching Professor of Music and Assistant Director of Athletic Bands at the University of Missouri, where he teaches courses in Percussion, Theory, History, Writing for the Arts, Composition, and Career Development, and is the director of Mini Mizzou’s Volleyball Pep Band. He previously taught at Lincoln University (MO) and Concord University (WV). He has performed extensively throughout the United States, and is the Timpanist for the Marshall Philharmonic Orchestra (MO). He is a commissioned composer of percussion works, many of which are available through C. Alan Publications. Dr. Zambito holds a B.A. degree in Piano Performance from Wake Forest University, and M.M. and D.M.A. degrees in Percussion Performance from UNC-Greensboro. He spent 3 years as an engraver and editor at C. Alan Publications, and frequently contributes as performer and clinician at the National Conference on Percussion Pedagogy. He is a member of the PAS Health & Wellness Committee.
