About Tanner Leonardo

Tanner Leonardo currently teaches at Texas A&M University Commerce as Adjunct Professor of Percussion while finalizing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Kentucky. He holds a Master of Music from Morehead State University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Louisville. Tanner’s performing career has included performances with the Louisville Orchestra, Owensboro Symphony, Cave Run Symphony Orchestra, and various chamber ensembles. He has been a member of the A/Tonal Chamber Ensemble since 2015, collaborating with composers to find new avenues for contemporary music.

Tanner has developed a reputation in the marching arts as an audio engineer sought after by prominent ensembles from across the United States. He has been the audio engineer for Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps and most recently worked with Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. He is also a recording engineer for ensemble performances and individual auditions. Tanner regularly presents audio clinics across the Midwest, including a technology clinic at the 2021 Percussive Arts Society International Conference.
