About Trinity High School Percussion Ensemble
The Trinity Percussion Studio is a product of the Trinity High School band program located in Euless, TX, in the Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District. The Trinity Percussion Studio consists of high school students in grades 10-12 who have completed at least two years of percussion class at Euless, Central, or Harwood Junior High School, grades 7-9.
This is the second time in school history that Trinity High School has been selected to present a PAS International Percussion Ensemble Contest showcase concert; the first time being in 2006 under the direction of Mike Matthew. Current and previous students have performed at the Midwest Clinic and Convention, the Texas Music Educators Association Convention, the Black Swamp Percussion Solo and Ensemble Competition and the Texas PAS Keyboard Competition.
Studio members are active participants in the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest, where some have been named most outstanding soloist. They also compete yearly in the Texas Music Educators Association All-State auditions, where many have found success at the region, area and state level. As a first-time participant at the 2022 North Texas Percussion Festival, the Trinity Percussion Ensemble received top recognition in the Large Division category. The Trinity Percussion studio is constantly seeking growth and has had the distinct privilege of working with world class clinicians such as Dr. Brian West, Dr. Brian Zator, Dr. Thomas Burritt, Dr. Francisco Perez and Jeff Ausdemore.
While the Trinity Percussion Studio holds a high standard of musical and academic performance, it is of equal importance that Trinity High School students leave equipped with the values fostered by Trinity High School and Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District.
The Trinity Percussion program is currently endorsed by Remo, Zildjian and Vic Firth. The Trinity Percussion Studio is under the direction of Manny Flores and JR Alberto.
